2/5/26 Update:  Moira is a spunky, silly girl who is looking for her forever home. This year-old Doberman/Cattle Dog mix from the Bakersfield shelter will never fail to make you laugh and entertain you with her goofy, playful, carefree personality. Moira is an energetic pup who loves to play, chase, snuggle, and makes a great companion for any nature adventure. She is very active and loves to play with other dogs but would be too intense for small dogs or cats. If you are looking for a loving pup to liven up your life and bring joy into your home, Moira would be a great new addition to your family.

Moira is a rescue from the Bakersfield shelter, July 2025.   They labeled her as a greyhound/lab mix.

Moira is estimated to be 1 year  and is 51 pounds. She is a happy pup! She loves people and other dogs. Moira loves to run and play and enjoys chasing the other dogs in foster care. She knows some basic commands “sit” & “paw”. She is crate trained and house trained.  Moira likes taking walks is good with all she meets.  Moira should not live with cats.

2/5/26 Update:   This pretty girl is Annie, a spunky young pup looking for a home to call her own!  Estimated to be 10-12 months, she is a great pyrenees mix with a playful and confident personality.  Annie weighs about 47 pounds, is energetic, loves to play, and chew on toys or anything she can get her paws on! She gets along with most dogs that let her call the shots as she likes to be the girl in charge, and can be a bit too much for cats and small dogs. This affectionate pup is a great walking/hiking buddy and would be a loving new addition to your family.

Annie is a  rescue  from the Central Valley, October 2025.  She came to GFFL because we were told she was part sighthound.  DNA shows otherwise.  She weighs around 40 pounds and is close to 1 year old.   Annie is affectionate with people and enjoys playing with other dogs.  She is crate trained.   Annie should not live with cats.

DNA:  We tested their littermate Hunter here are the results: 39% Great Pyrenees, 31% Pit Bull Terrier, 12 % Old English Sheepdog, 11% German Shepard, 6% Boxer

Javier is estimate to be 1 1/2 years old. He is a petite male weighing 56 pounds.  Javier loves to run and play with the other dogs.  He is shy with people. His crate is his safe spot.  Javier is not interested in taking walks yet.  He will need a home with a fully fenced yard and another doggie companion.
